The latest work from Melbourne based musician, Josh Kelly, Displacement draws from personal experiences within the context of moving countries himself.
Commissioned specifically for MIJF, Displacement seamlessly melds composed elements with featured improvisations to create a soundscape which blurs the lines between the known and unknown.
Displacement explores French Impressionism, modal jazz, and syncopated rhythm cycles through the lens of Josh's families migration around the world.
